The cyclone caused heavy damage due to strong winds. Paddy and commercial crops were damaged in some districts. We have taken relief measures with the help of technology.

We have faced the cyclone effectively. There has been serious damage in many districts of the state. We responded quickly and managed to control most of the damage. We have prepared a plan in advance for the Montha cyclone. We have taken precautions and have seen no loss of life, said CM Chandrababu Naidu.today.

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar in Konaseema district After an aerial visit to the areas affected by Montha cyclone, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu reached the port and from there reached Bendamurlanka in Allavaram mandal by road, and interacted with the local farmers and people.

After personally inspecting the flood-affected fields, the Chief Minister personally spoke to the farmers and the authorities to learn about the damage to the crops caused by the Montha cyclone.

It is unimaginable how many lakhs of coconut trees would have been destroyed if a cyclone like the previous hurricane had hit. The Chief Minister assured that action would be taken after receiving the report on the property damage.

2200 camps have been set up and 1.80 lakh people have been rehabilitated. The situation was monitored till 1 am. In the wake of the emergency situation, the power supply was stopped. It was restored.

We have supplied electricity through all the sub-stations except 4 sub-stations. We are monitoring every aspect through real-time governance.. All the departmental officials are on alert. Ministers, collectors and the bureaucracy across the state have worked together.. Except for two, there was no loss of life anywhere.. We have given orders on the matter of paying compensation. They said that they will provide it soon.

Paddy crops and horticultural crops were damaged. Crops were submerged in Nellore, Prakasam, Bapatla and Parchur. Winds gusted at 70-75 kmph in Konaseema. A major disaster was averted in this process. Some damage was caused.

We have provided food and accommodation for three days in the rehabilitation centers, 25 kg rice, kg lentil, liter oil, kg onion, kg potato and kg sugar to the affected people. We are providing 50 kg rice to fishermen and handloom workers, said Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
