Council candidate (YSRCP) Vanka Ravindranath said in the council meeting today that polyester uniforms are likely to spread skin-related diseases among school students in Andhra Pradesh.

All students in government and private schools should immediately change their uniforms, and the state governments should take steps to ban polyester clothes and use cotton clothes, Ravindranath appealed to State Education and Human Resource Minister Nara Lokesh.

Also, the toilets used by students in all schools are in bad condition and the school staff is neglecting their maintenance, Ravindranath alleged.

Dussehra is a very dear festival for Telugu families, and accordingly, the holidays given to schools on the occasion of Dussehra should be implemented equally for government and private schools, He said in the council.

He said that especially in government schools, Dussehra holidays have been announced from the 22nd of this month, but some private schools are announcing them after the 26th, which will discourage students from spending their holidays.

He appealed to the coalition government to inspect government and private schools regularly and take steps to provide minimum facilities. Raveendranad said.
