The state government has taken a historic step forward in the industrial and development journey of Andhra Pradesh. It seems that the cabinet meeting held on Friday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has approved huge investment proposals worth Rs. 1,14,824 crore for the state. The government is confident that this decision will give a new impetus to the state’s economy and pave the way for the creation of thousands of jobs.
These decisions taken keeping in mind the future of the state are expected to put AP at the top in the industrial sector.
In this cabinet meeting, special attention was paid to the development of Visakhapatnam. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu aspired to develop Visakhapatnam into a powerful financial and technological hub on the lines of the country’s financial capital Mumbai.
He clarified that world-renowned tech giants like Google and TCS are already coming to Visakhapatnam and the aim is to turn the city into an international IT hub. He said that with these investments, the look of Visakhapatnam will completely change, infrastructure will improve and the living standards of the people will increase.
The cabinet also took key decisions to expedite the construction work of the capital Amaravati. In Amaravati, administrative approvals were granted for the construction of a new Raj Bhavan at an estimated cost of Rs. 212 crore. In addition, it was decided to allocate 25% of the funds required for the establishment of an underground drainage system in Mangalagiri and Tadepalli municipal corporations within the capital through CRDA.
With these measures, the creation of infrastructure in the capital area will move forward further. Along with these, issues such as land allocations required for various institutions and dearness allowance (DA) for government employees were also discussed extensively in the meeting.
Addressing the ministers on this occasion, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu clarified that it is the responsibility of the ministers of the relevant departments to not only approve investments but also ensure that the respective institutions start their operations at the field level quickly.

We are working hard to bring investments to the state. We should explain the fruits of these plans to the people so that they understand their importance,” he directed. He suggested that the ministers should play an active role in creating awareness among the people about government schemes and development programs.
