Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu clarified that Andhra Pradesh has undertaken huge projects in the green energy sector and expects more cooperation from Singapore in this regard.

As part of his second-day visit to Singapore, Chief Minister Chandrababu, a group of ministers and officials met with Tan See Lang, Minister of Human Resources and Science and Technology in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of that country. The Chief Minister also asked Singaporean companies to participate in green hydrogen, transmission corridors, ports and other sectors.

CM Chandrababu said that Singapore’s participation is also necessary in the matter of setting up data centers. Singapore is strong in the logistics sector..

CM Chandrababu explained to the Singaporean minister that construction of ports is currently underway in AP as well. The Chief Minister requested Singapore to cooperate with AP in following best practices in the fields of ports and logistics. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu opined that Singapore’s partnership is necessary in the fields of human resources, science and technology, and trade.

On the other hand, the CM discussed with Singapore Minister Tan See Lang the difficulties faced by Singapore companies during the previous government’s tenure and the issue of resolving them. The Chief Minister made it clear that he had come to Singapore to set records so that the mistakes made in the past would not be repeated. Chandrababu Naidu reminded that a Singapore township had been built in Hyderabad in the past due to his admiration for Singapore.

He said that a program of cleaning roads at night had been undertaken in Hyderabad in the past to see Singapore. On the other hand, the CM invited Singapore Minister Tan See Lang to attend the partnership conference to be held in AP in November.

Singapore Minister Tan See Lang told the Chief Minister that they are interested in working with AP in the field of housing construction and subsea cable in Andhra Pradesh. He revealed that Singapore-AP will work together in this field.

Singaporean Minister explained to AP CM that they are working with the World Bank on issues like green energy and housing.
