Minister Kandula Durgesh has made it clear that Nidadavol will be developed in all sectors. On the occasion of the completion of 60 years of the formation of the Nidadavol Municipal Corporation, the diamond festival celebrations are being organized at the local Lions Club from November 26 to 28. State Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Ponguru Narayana was the chief guest.
Minister Narayana, said that during the period 2014-19, the then TDP government had sanctioned more than 7 lakh TIDCO houses to the beneficiaries. Administrative permissions were given to 5 lakh houses. 4.94 lakh houses have been grounded.
There are TIDCO houses in 163 areas across the state. He said that Rs. 7000 crores will be required to complete the TIDCO project. Narayana said that the work will resume on December 3 and 4 and that houses with basic amenities will be provided to the beneficiaries by the end of June 2026. Earlier, Minister Narayana unveiled the Vajrotsava Stupa as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Minister Durgash said, that after the coalition government came to power, Nidadavol constituency was developed with Rs. 400 crores in 15 months and that they are continuously working on R&B, rural roads and infrastructure.
He said that various development programs have been undertaken in Nidadavol town with a fund of Rs. 151 crores. Minister Durgash assured that Nidadavol will be developed in all sectors soon. Minister Kandula Durgesh appealed to the people of Nidadavolu to work together and bring back the past glory of Nidadavolu beyond politics.
On this occasion, Ministers Narayana and Kandula Durgesh unveiled the book Nidadavolu History, written by Regulla Mallikarjuna Rao, Director of the Cultural Department, to showcase the greatness, fame and geographical features of Niravadyapuram (Nidadavolu), an ancient town with a rich history ruled by the Chalukyas and Kakatiyas.
Initially, a grand performance was organized by the Cultural Department from Ganesh Chowk to Nidadavolu Park Center with about 150 artists performing folk dances like Tappetagullu, Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, Dappulu, Garagalu.

The Diamond Jubilee celebrations began with the lighting of the lamp amidst the Vedic mantras . The state anthem was sung, saying “Maa Telugu Thalliki Mallepoodanda”. Later, the poster of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations was unveiled.
