Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu said that the capital development journey has begun. CM Chandrababu inaugurated the CRDA building built under the G+7 approach at 9.55 am on Monday along with the farmers who gave lands for the capital.
The government has undertaken the construction of the building so that all the departments related to the CRDA, ADCL and the municipal department can conduct their activities from one place. The Chief Minister spoke at a meeting organized with the farmers after the inauguration of this office.
After the bifurcation of the state, Andhra Pradesh was formed without a capital. The division was done without even mentioning where the capital should be placed. The state was divided in a situation where there was no space for the capital.
Regarding the capital, the then UPA government had set up a panchayat that was not available. We set up a panchayat in Amaravati saying that it would be good for everyone if the capital was placed in the middle of the state. We need land for the construction of the capital… They doubted whether the capital could be built according to the plans. We started the construction of Amaravati with the experience of building Cyberabad.
The first CRDA building to be started after the restart of Amaravati work.. I am happy. The inauguration of the CRDA building is the beginning of the capital development journey,” the Chief Minister explained.
The women farmers of Amaravati took to the streets to fight for the capital… They carried out many movements against the decision taken by the previous government. I also joined the farmers’ movement… I stood by the movement.
Don’t forget the hardships… The farmers should enjoy the results of the sacrifices made by the farmers.. I am fully committed to that. In Phase-1, lands were given under land pooling. The previous rulers tortured you in various ways for giving the lands. They said the capital is a desert… They said it is the capital of prostitutes. They made a lot of mockery. We will ensure that the farmers get double respect… We will ensure that they enjoy double fruits.
If Amaravati does not remain a municipality, it needs adequate infrastructure. Amaravati will be the focal point of the administration. If the farmers seize the opportunity that comes, they will achieve the desired goals.
Union Minister Pemmasani takes the responsibility of solving the problems of the capital farmers Chandrasekhar, Minister Narayana, MLA Shravan Kumar should take the responsibility. These three should take the responsibility of constantly talking to the farmers and finding solutions to their problems.
We are building the Amaravati project on a self-financing basis… All those who criticize should note this. The coalition government should be permanent. We are moving forward together with Pawan Kalyan and BJP.
Visakhapatnam is also developing wonderfully. The largest foreign direct investment in the country is coming to Visakhapatnam.

Union Minister Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, Minister Narayana, MLAs Tenali Shravan Kumar, Dhulipala Narendra, Kolikapudi Srinivasa Rao, senior officials of the Municipal and Urban Development Department participated in this program.
