Andhra Pradesh is promoting industries in a big way and as part of that has started speeding up the process of doing business and clearing applications in 45 days.
Recently, Premier Energy got clearances in 45 days with a single phone call, while Reliance is planning to set up the world’s second largest brewery with clearances within a month and start production from February, said Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
Welcoming the gathering, Confederation of Indian Industry Director General Chandrajit Banerjee praised Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s visionary approach and commitment towards the economic development of India and Andhra Pradesh.
The Chief Minister, who participated as the chief guest at the India Europe Business Partnership Roundtable held here today as part of the two-day CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam, hailed Visakhapatnam as a beautiful, green and safe city, saying that Google is going to set up an AI data centre with an investment of 15 billion US dollars and sub-sea cables will be laid connecting Singapore, which is going to make Visakhapatnam a global IT hub.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is going to develop a drone city for civil applications and defence sector needs. In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to promote space technology in the private sector, Andhra Pradesh is planning to develop a space city. Andhra Pradesh is strong in the energy sector through solar, wind and pumped storage power generation. Andhra Pradesh is going to emerge as a green energy hub, he said.
India has set a target of generating 500 GW of green energy, while Andhra Pradesh has decided to generate 160 GW of green energy.
Andhra Pradesh is strong in many sectors like AI, data center, space, drones, electronics, aero space, semiconductors. When the Indian government recently announced the quantum computing policy, Andhra Pradesh decided to develop Quantum Valley in Amaravati and is confident that a quantum computer will be produced in AP within two years.
The Chief Minister said that India is going to become number one in the economy and no one can stop this. Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said that a stable government is good for India. He appealed to global investors to invest in Andhra Pradesh. If anyone comes forward for investment, the government will provide an escort officer to scrutinize their applications for setting up industries in the state.

Both India and Europe are committed to contribute and collaborate to advance the green shift through cooperation to accelerate the green transition and enhance joint green funding mechanisms.
