Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Panchayat Raj and Forests, Konidela Pawan Kalyan, stated that the Water Grid project has been named ‘Amarajeevi Jaladhara’ with the intention of commemorating the name of Sri Potti Sriramulu, who sacrificed his life for the self-respect of the Telugu people.
Today, Sri Pawan Kalyan participated in the foundation stone laying ceremony of Amarajeevi Jaladhara in Peravali, Nidudavolu constituency, East Godavari district.Andhra Pradesh.
We are spending ₹7,910 crores across five districts of the state for the construction of the Water Grid projects undertaken through Amarajeevi Jaladhara. The goal is to quench the thirst of 1.21 crore people over the next 35 years through these projects.
Specifically, with the intention of benefiting the fishermen living along the coastal areas of the undivided East and West Godavari districts, the project has been designed to cover a large portion of the coastal regions. We are moving forward with the goal of completing the works by 2027.
The groundwater in the undivided East and West Godavari districts has become contaminated. The situation has become so dire that people have to pay money to buy clean drinking water.
Pawan Kalyan stated that YSRCP leaders are openly boasting and resorting to threats, even threatening to jail contractors who undertake development works. He said, “This is my direct answer to all of them… If necessary, Yogi Adityanath’s treatment will be the right one for you.”He said.
He added, “If the government decides to act, even a powerful force like Naxalism was dismantled. Think about what your situation will be if the government takes a strong political decision against these hired goons who are resorting to threats.”
He said, “In a democracy, criticism should be constructive… If you cross the line with your words, we will make sure your fate is sealed”
He stated that due to the negligence of the previous government, thousands of crores of rupees, which should have been used to meet the drinking water needs of the people by the 2024 deadline of the Jal Jeevan Mission, have remained unused.
He said, “The reason we are bringing so many thousands of crores of rupees to the state today is Prime Minister Narendra Modi. With his complete cooperation and Chandrababu Naidu’s vast experience, we are able to take the state forward on the path of development.

Pawan Kalyan warned that strict action would be taken against those responsible if there are any lapses in quality in the road construction and Amarajeevi Jaladhara program works.
