Since it was Karthika Ekadashi and Saturday, a large number of devotees came to have darshan of Venkanna Swamy. Due to this, the railing at the normal level broke and the devotees fell. Suddenly, the chaos led to a stampede.

Our government is providing the best medical treatment to those injured in the stampede. As soon as I received the information, I spoke to the officials, the district minister Atchannaidu and the local MLA Gauthu Sirisha. I have ordered immediate assistance to the victims.
