Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar said in a statement that grain procurement centers will start in the state from the 3rd of this month.
Farmers can register by sending a message of “HI” to the WhatsApp number “7337359375” to register their details.
The minister explained that the government has set a target of purchasing 51 lakh tonnes of grain in the 2025-26 Kharif crop season. For this, 3,013 Rythu Seva Kendras and 2,061 grain procurement centers have been set up across the state.
The minister revealed that 10,700 staff have been prepared to participate in the grain procurement and steps are being taken to ensure that the money is credited to the farmers’ accounts within 24 to 48 hours after purchasing the grain from the farmers.
“This time, quality gothas should be prepared in advance based on last year’s experience. Precautionary measures should be taken to ensure that there are no problems with moisture monitoring machines and transportation facilities,” Minister Nadendla Manohar ordered officials.
Minister Nadendla Manohar will officially launch the paddy procurement program in Arugolanu village of Tadepalligudem constituency on Monday, the 3rd of this month.
