AMARAVATI: As per the directions of the Health Secretary, the Andhra Pradesh government is taking key steps to further improve the quality of medical services provided to the people through Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) in the state. In the context of providing quality medical services to the people of rural and remote areas through ‘104 services’ in the state, these training programs will become crucial to further increase the efficiency of the services.
In this regard, to increase transparency and efficiency in the process of supply of medicines and surgical equipment from central drug stores to MMUs, it has been made mandatory to record expenditure details on the e-Aushadhi portal. This will enable comprehensive monitoring of the consumption, storage and distribution of medicines.
To effectively implement this system, login IDs have been created for a total of 904 Mobile Medical Units across the state. Through these logins, each unit will be able to record its expenditure details on time.
The training program was conducted by Sri Pasupuleti Ashwini, IT Manager, Andhra Pradesh Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APMSIDC). He provided comprehensive understanding on topics like usage of e-Aushadhi portal, data entry procedure, and standards to be followed in recording expenses.
The trained personnel will now act as Master Trainers and provide training to Data Entry Operators (DEOs) working in 104 Mobile Medical Units under Training of Trainers (ToT) mode. Through this, the aim is to effectively implement the system across the state.

This entire training program was effectively conducted under the supervision of Dr. NTR Vaidya Seva Trust. Officials said that with these steps taken by the government, the medical services provided to the people in rural and remote areas through Mobile Medical Units will become more transparent and efficient.
