AMARAVATI:  Keeping in mind the 2027 Pushkaras, the Collector has ordered to submit an action plan in the form of a power point presentation within 07 days on the identification of parking spaces and land parcels required for Pushkara Nagars in East Godavari district. AP.

To this end, Collector Kirti Chekuri held a key meeting with the concerned officials on Saturday.

During the field visits, in view of the influx of pilgrims attending the Pushkaras, suitable parking spaces for RTC, private buses and other vehicles should be identified and the number of buses that can be parked in the identified places should be accurately calculated.

Identification of satellite bus stands along national highways, collection of toll plaza data of national highways in Rajahmundry and Kovvur areas since 2015, He ordered an analysis of the number of cars and two-wheelers.

It was clarified that the problematic areas indicated on Google Maps should be identified and a comprehensive report should be submitted in coordination with the relevant departments.

In two sessions from the same morning, the current situation at the ghats, identification of dangerous and deep areas, especially the experiences of 2015 Pushkaras, were discussed, and a comprehensive strategy on safety, transportation and control of population movement was needed.

Collector Kirti Chekuri suggested that the agenda items discussed in the meeting held by the state Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on January 23 should also be reviewed and appropriate steps should be taken at the district level for their implementation.
