The Union Home Ministry has put a pause on general transfers of state government employees till March 31 next year due to the nationwide census.

AMARAVATI: The Union Home Ministry has banned general transfers of government employees as the census process has begun across the country. It has set a clear deadline to complete the two-phase program by March 31, 2027.
As part of this, training programs have started for 85 thousand employees in Telangana. In the first phase, time has been allotted till June 9 to go door-to-door and collect details.
‘Sir’ across the country after 4 state elections! The Central Election Commission intends to conduct the final phase of voter list revision (Sir) after the 4 state elections. It is likely to be carried out in 17 states and 5 UTs including AP, Telangana, Delhi and Karnataka from the 29th of this month. So far, ‘Sir’ has been completed in 10 states and 3 UTs.

A special revision was conducted in Assam. A total of 60 crore voters’ details have been examined. Details of 39 crore people will be reviewed in the final stage.
