AMARAVATI: The Rampa Sri Bhramaramba Malli Karjuna Swamy temple, which is the embodiment of Lord Shiva, was desecrated last night by TDP leaders with obscene recording dances, and it is very special that these recording dances were performed with the bandobasthu of the local police.
During Shivaratri, everyone organizes spiritual programs, songs related to Shiva, and worship, and the coalition government is also giving priority to the spiritual sector. State Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan have said that no obscene or recording dances should be organized near temples or regardless of the spiritual sector.
The alliance leaders should say what kind of signals are the TDP leaders giving to today’s society and youth . By bringing women from other areas and performing such recording dances.
The Rampachodavaram DFO office stated that the forest department did not give permission for recording dances only to conduct pilgrimage at this temple on the occasion of Shivaratri, which is managed by the temple.
However, locals say that for the last many years, such leaders have been organizing such events after Shivaratri.
Temple History
Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple, located in Rampa village, Rampachodavaram mandal, of Andhra Pradesh, is a historic Shiva temple locally famous for its ancient architecture and spiritual significance. It is associated with regional Shaivism traditions.
Kakatiya Dynasty (12th-14th century CE) or Built during the Chola period, the temple has a unique structure of lightweight, floating sand-based bricks called rechkaure – made from volcanic ash, lime and rice husks –
It is worshipped as a Rudreswara or Lakshmana Swamy temple, emphasizing Shiva worship in the region. It is locally known as the Rampa Rudreswara Shiva Temple, rather than the official “Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna”, which is more similar to the Jyotirlinga of Srisailam.
