AMARAVATI: Rajahmundry City MLA Adireddy Srinivas said that the Municipal Ordinances (Second Amendment) Bill – 2026 introduced by the government is providing relief to the real estate sector.

He spoke on this issue in the assembly sessions held today. Rajahmundry City MLA Adireddy Srinivas expressed his full support for the VLT (Vastu Layout Tax) Amendment Bill introduced by Municipal Affairs Minister Narayana.

He mentioned that this historic amendment will revive the real estate and construction sectors and mentioned the provision contemplated by the Telugu Desam government in 2019.

Now, he said that the coalition government is laudable for providing 50% subsidy on vacant land tax from the date of building permission till the completion of the works.

Hazzle-free in the construction sector The MLA said that due to the single window system brought for the environment, approvals are available at one place, transparency has increased and business is becoming easier. He praised the fact that they responded to the problems asked and helped without asking.

He said that real estate has a good future in the constituency where rapid urbanization is taking place between Rajahmundry, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada.

He suggested that extension and material component issues should be taken into account through Pushkaralu and TDR boards. Adireddy Srinivas expressed his full support saying that this bill will make all urban local bodies uniform and the construction sector will revive.
