AMARAVATI: National BCY leader Ramachandra Yadav has demanded that all the Srisailam temple authorities who had police lathi-charge Shiva devotees who had come to Srisailam Mallanna darshan, should apologize to the devotees. He also expressed deep regret over the AP coalition government for appointing incompetent officials in Srisailam temple.

Bharat Chaitanya Yuvajana Party National President Bode Ramachandra Yadav has strongly condemned the inhuman lathi-charge carried out by the police on Shiva devotees and devotees who had come to Mallanna darshan in the holy shrine of Srisailam. He described it as the height of government arrogance and incompetence of temple authorities.  He said that treating devotees who came for darshan of the deity as inferior to cattle and lashing out at the Swamis who protested peacefully were unforgivable crimes.

Ramachandra Yadav clarified that this terrible situation arose due to the mismanagement of the temple staff. He criticized that the devotees were made to stand in queues for hours, testing their patience, and failing to provide basic facilities. He questioned what kind of governance it is to indiscriminately attack the devotees who came forward with anguish for darshan to cover up the failure of the authorities.

The policemen who attacked should be suspended immediately
Ramachandra Yadav demanded that the police personnel who attacked the devotees and the Shiva Swamis wearing garlands with lathi be suspended immediately.

He said that it was atrocious that the police, who were supposed to maintain law and order, were creating a panic. He urged the government to take strict action against everyone responsible, rather than just investigating the incident.

Taking full responsibility for this shameful incident, Ramachandra Yadav demanded that the Chief Minister and the Endowment Minister immediately issue a public apology to the entire Hindu community and Shiva devotees.

He advised the government to treat temples not as sources of income but as sacred places of faith and sentiments of devotees. He made it clear that the government has the responsibility to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future.
