From the 8th of this month, six types of services have been made available, including issuance of new rice cards, division of cards, change of address, addition of members, removal of existing ones and surrender of cards.
In the month of June, new rice cards in the form of smart cards will be provided free of cost to everyone.
He said that there are a total of 1,46,21,223 rice cards in the state, and about 4,24,59,028 people have registered their names through these cards. He said that since children below 5 years and those above 80 years are not required to do eKYC, about 6,45,765 people have not done eKYC.
He said that single people can also get a ration card. Those who are not married for over 50 years… Those whose husband and wife have separated, single people… Elderly people living in orphanages can also register a new rice card.
He said that these services will be provided to those who have undergone gender reassignment for the first time. He said that artists receiving pension in rural areas across the state and those belonging to 12 castes like Chenchus and Yanads living in hilly areas will be provided with 35 kg of rice.minister said.
