BHARATH NEWS : SECUNDABAD :Shri B. Nagya, Principal Chief Operations Manager, South Central Railway Relinquishes the charge on 31.10.2024
Shri B. Nagya, Principal Chief Operations Manager, South Central Railway has relinquished the of charge of Principal Chief Operations Manager on 31st October 2024, on attaining the age of superannuation.
He is native of Kodad in Suryapet District of Telangana State. He has done his B.Tech from NIT/Warangal in Civil Engineering and M. Tech from IIT/Delhi. He belongs to the 1989 batch of Indian Railway Traffic Service and joined to Railway Service in the year 1991 on 15th September and completed 33 years of his successful service in Indian Railways.
In the 33 years of journey in the Railways, he worked in different positions starting with Area Officer/Purna, Area Officer/Ramagundam, Area Manager/Bhadrachalam Road, Senior Divisional Operations Manager/Hubballi, Karnataka (Sr.DOM), Sr. Divisional Operations Manager/Guntakal (Sr.DOM/GTL), Sr. Divisional Operations Manager/PGT, Dy. Chief Operations Manager/Freight/Secunderabad (Dy.COM/Freight), Chief Passenger transportation Manager/Hubballi and Principal Chief Commercial Manager/Bhubaneswar.
As Sr.DOM/UBL he worked in most tough job and used to handle the ghat clearance for trains from Castle Rock to Kulem. When this section was converted from MG to BG there was huge pressure on Iron ore movement on down the ghat and bringing empties back to the loading points. Despite the difficulties and tough task during this time, as part of SCR, UBL division for the first time in the history got Operating Shield. Before being posted in HQ, as Dy.COM/Freight, he was working as Sr.DOM/GTL.
There are several achievements in his career where he has played significant role. They are:
(a) Improved Iron ore unloading in Goa area when there was a serious demand.
(b) Improvement in Iron ore loading in Guntakal division when division got bifurcated.
