Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will implement the names of historical persons for government welfare schemes in Andhra Pradesh.
Earlear These government schemes used to have the names of the political leaders in power .During the previous YSRCP regime,
Jagananna Vidya Kanuka Welfare Scheme, now known as ” Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Vidyarthi Mitra” , Jagananna Goru Mudda Pathakam, “Dokka Seethamma” as Madhyananna Badi bhojanam , Jagananna Animuthyalu Scheme, now Named as ” APJ Abdul Kalam” Talent Award.
Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India, is known for his services to the field of education as a scholar and educator.APJ Abdul Kalam is the 11th President and is known for his invaluable contribution to the military missile development efforts of India’s civil space program.
Dokka Seethamma from Konaseema region of East Godavari has been providing food to poor people and travelers for 40 years. Thus she earned the name Apara Annapurna.
While Jagan Mohan Reddy was the CM, nine welfare programs were introduced and named ‘Jagananna Navaratnalu in his name.
Earlier, when the Telugu Desam government was in power, the party’s stalwarts NTR and Chandrababu Naidu used to name the schemes. This method was also in force during the Congress regime as the late former Chief Minister Rajasekhar Reddy implemented many welfare schemes like Indiramma Illu and Rajeev Arogyasree in the names of former Prime Ministers.
But these schemes introduced by the TDP government with the names of great people with historical values in their place will be remembered by future generations of students. Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan expressed his happiness that it is commendable to names of the famous people for educational schemes in this order.
