The coalition government has taken measures to relief  the people from the increase in the price of cooking oil after it was recognised that the price of cooking oil has increased due to the import duty by the Centre.

In this regard, a meeting of the Ministerial Committee on Price Monitoring was held in the Secretariat today under the chairmanship of the State Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Nadendla Manohar.   Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav, Agriculture Minister Achchennaidu and senior officials were present.

The government is selling palm oil at Rs.110 per liter through special counters. The government has negotiated with importers, wholesale operators and retailers and after that they are selling cooking oil at subsidized prices through QR code,  said in the meeting of the committee of ministers.

Similarly, the supply of rice, jaggery, and sugar at subsidized prices will be done across the state.  Kandipappu sold at Rs 67 per kg, sugar  at Rs 16 per 1/2 kg, palm oil at Rs 110 per liter through Rythu Bazar and 2200 retail outlets in the AP state.

The committee has decided to reduce the market fee (cess) from two percent to one percent as part of the reform of the government’s idea to set up a fund of Rs.500 crore for price stabilization through the CP app in 154 mandal centers. committee said.
