Chandrababu Naidu, announced that the Super Six promises given during the election, three cylinders will be given free of cost under the Deepam scheme.
CM Chandrababu Naidu said that his government is committed to the welfare of women. The CM said that this Diwali festival will bring light in homes with the Deepam scheme.
CM reviewed this program with State Civil Supplies Secretary Nadendla Manohar, officials of that department and representatives of oil companies such as Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation at the Velagapudi Secretariat on Monday.
As part of this, the CM has decided to start the Diwali scheme on the 31st of this month. The CM clarified that these free gas cylinders will be provided to all eligible women in the state in a transparent manner.
Chief Minister Chandrababu clarified that the distribution of gas cylinders will be started from the 31st of this month and arrangements should be made for booking for free gas cylinders from 24th of this month.
The CM said that Deepam Scheme was brought to the Union State with the idea of reducing household expenses for women….Now again, three gas cylinders will be of great benefit to them.
In this meeting, State Civil Supplies Secretary Veerapandyan first gave a power point presentation regarding the free gas cylinders distribution program. He explained that while the retail market price of a gas cylinder is Rs.876, the central government is giving a subsidy of Rs.25 per cylinder, but currently the price of each cinder is Rs.851. He said.
